Spiritual Uniform-ity

A walking, talking, semi-coherent cliche

There’s a crowd of 100 people. Can you pick out the ones on a spiritual journey? How would you know? If we were to use our egos we’d say it’s the people with dreds. The people wearing crystal pendants. Tie dye clothing, face piercings, goddess moon tattoos, Henna artwork, patchouli oil cologne, beaded bracelets, brimmed hats, flowy skirts, tarot cards, rings galore. Your ego would key in on these things because it was ego that told these people to put them on. If the spiritual journey is different and unique for every single person, then why is there an approved uniform?

At least in my reality, the more one Awakens to their true spiritual nature, the less ego they have, the less “tools” they need to accompany their spiritual journey, and the less they care to wear their differences on the outside. Once you really start to go inwards you realize this experience is mostly an inward one. The dream is real and the real is dream.

Of course this doesn’t mean one need shun these spirituality markers. Quite the opposite, in fact. They are part of the journey. One must learn that the power of the crystals is the power in themselves. This is what the crystals are here to teach us. One must learn that the tarot cards are literal cardboard permission slips that “let” us access our intuition. The art one tattoos onto their skin is a physical manifestation of the art that lives deep within their heart. We must go through these energies in order to learn their lessons, that everything outside ourselves points back to our Higher Selves, our Divine, our Soul.

So at the end of the day, what really matters? What’s important to you? If the answer is cultivating an outward identity in order to show others what club you belong to, well you’re probably in the ego. If the answer is to give power to all the things outside of yourself in order to validate your experience, then you’re probably in ego. If the answer is to use the outside world to remind yourself of your inner power, then you’re probably on an Ascension path. The reality is that, for most of us, all three of these things will be true at some point. It’s just how we humans operate. But we can at least be awake and aware to the ways the ego tries to exert its dominance over our true natures.

But don’t get it confused. The idea is not to blend into a crowd of 100 people. The idea is to shine so brightly and so powerfully that it doesn’t matter what you look like. Make it so a blind person could pick you out. Let your light be so undeniable that the other 99 can’t help but stop everything they’re doing and watch in awe as you destroy this matrix illusion right before their eyes.
